Default Dealing with warriors in PvP

I'm currently level 14(which means the only pvp i can participate in is the random arenas), and it seems that whichever team has the largest number of warriors wins. As long as they've got a monk or two, the opposite team never stands a chance. It seems like there must be some way to counter them, and I'm wondering what that is. I'm mainly looking for whole group strategies, but in case you have any strategies for me personally, I'm a Necro/Monk. Thx.

Ok, I know I shouldn't be writing this, since it's really not a very viable group build, and it doesn't even apply to you, but in the last BWE, just for fun, I ran a mesmer/mo melee shutdown. While you can kill any [dumb] ranger or warrior, or IW war very quickly, you're not good for much else. I won't go into the skills, because I don't remember, and it doesn't matter, since you're not a mesmer. Anyways, knowing nothing about the necro line, I can suggest maybe Pacifism from your monk? Even at 0 prot, it stops anyone from attacking for 8 seconds, and at higher prot, I believe it gets to 18 seconds or thereabouts.

I love my monk, he's loaded up with runes and mana armour..... Most W\* chase me and I heal on the fly, I can nullify one of they're tanks by getting him/her to chase me (if there is only only one it's beautiful) while my team cuts out their flock, Sometimes I'll cut through the centre, it won't work for everyone though

Chasing monks is silly

lots of fun for me though

any *smart* warrior would use sprint to catch up.

Get a Ranger on your team, with the right set up he can take down a warrior quickly. But personnaly, as a ranger ill stand back in a support position, anyone that calls target, ill attack, if not ill take down those who are having a hard time against someone.

Support your warriors, when they attack use a cripple attack on their target so they cant run from the warrior, if ya can, posion them to give the warrior an edge.

Any team with a monk or two has an advantage. With my warrior/Mesmer I have had groups when I was with all ranged classes. We would still win no matter how many warriors the other team had. It is all about how you do it. Different situations call for different tactics.

Also a warrior the most tank campatable class so they can take a lot of hits. I will say this though, if I am fighting against another warrior, without proper support from the rest of my team, I end up getting my but kicked by an Elementalist that is supporting the warrior attacking.

However, you can't beat a warrior by running. The best thing to do is to attack him and the rest of your team will be sure to help you (if they know what they are doing).

I take that back. Necromancers can win with a hit and run strategy. >_<

All you can do against a warrior is help your warrior beat him down quicker. Here's my setup and it seems to be working.

********EDITED rev 1.1 rng/mnk**********

1. Hunter's Shot. Cost 5. Arrow fired does an additional 9 damage. If target is moving while hit, target bleeds for 8 seconds.

2. Duel Arrows. Cost 10. Fire 2 arrows that do 25% less damage.

3. Apply Poisen. Cost 15. For a duration of 24 seconds all arrows fired are poisened. Targets hit are poisened for 6 seconds.

4. Favorable Winds. Cost 5. A spirit is created. All Allied arrows travel twice as fast and do +6 damage. Spirit lasts for 102 seconds.

5. Troll Ungeant. Cost 5. Regeneration increased to +4 for 10 seconds. >>>>

6. Restore Life. Cost 10. Dead allies are restored to life with 29% life and 48 % energy.

GOT RID OF THE PET AT THIS POINT, NEW SKILLS--

7. Pacify. Targetted player cannot attack for 8 + seconds. This really pisses off warriors in Player vs. Player. I generally jack him with a poisen arrow too and let our main tank finish him off, to the next target then.....

8. Whirling Defense. A good "I got to get the **** out of here!" While your fleeing at light speed combo this with Troll Ungeant for the full "heal and try again."

I love the fact rangers are ignored.........
